Tools Needed:
The ideal location for the toolbox is on the left-hand front caster frame. Before starting, ensure the caster wheel is turned all the way out to give you ample space to work. With the wheel in position, locate the frame mounting bracket from your kit. Position the bracket under the caster frame and slide it up so it fits around it, ensuring it's as close to the caster as possible.
Next, place the toolbox's mounting bracket on top of the previously installed bracket, as shown. Find the two carriage-head bolts (flat top bolts with a square neck) from the kit and insert them through the holes in the top bracket, ensuring they pass through the lower bracket. Secure the bolts with the provided nuts. Use a 13mm socket with a ratchet for tightening.
Once both mounting brackets are in place, open the toolbox to reveal the two holes in the bottom of the box. Connect the box to the toolbox mounting bracket by inserting the two hex-head bolts and large washers through the holes and into the bracket. Secure the bolts with the provided nuts using a 13mm wrench and a 13mm socket with a ratchet.
Once the toolbox is securely mounted, ensure it doesn't interfere with the mower's foot pedal. The design ensures that the pedal can be fully pressed without any obstructions. With the toolbox in place, you can store essential tools, lock it up for security, and enjoy a more convenient mowing experience.

Mounting a toolbox on your John Deere Z5 Zero-Turn enhances its functionality and ensures you have your essential tools close by. The process is straightforward, and the end result is a more efficient mowing session. Happy mowing!
