How to Install the John Deere Gator Turn Signal Deluxe Headlight Kit
March 5, 2024
Read MoreThe John Deere Z5 Zero-Turn Mower is designed for efficiency and comfort. But, as with any machine, there's always room for improvement. One such upgrade is the foot rest kit, which offers an added layer of comfort for those long mowing sessions. Let's dive into the installation process.
---
Start by removing the foot platform from your John Deere Z5. This will give you clear access to the installation points. Upon inspecting the foot platform, you'll notice a set of holes at the top. These are your mounting points for the foot pegs. There should be two holes on each side of the foot platform.
The foot pegs come with two bolts that slide into the ends. These bolts will pass through the foot platform and will be secured from the back. The design of the pegs is intuitive, with slots on the side to hold the bolts in place, making the installation process smooth. Using a 13mm ratchet and socket, secure the foot pegs by tightening the locking nuts from the back. Ensure they're snug but avoid over-tightening.
Once the foot pegs are securely in place, reattach the foot platform to your mower. The newly installed pegs also double up as handles, making this process even easier.
With the foot pegs installed, you now have an additional resting place for your feet. It might seem like a minor addition, but the comfort it provides can be a game-changer, especially during extended mowing sessions.

The foot rest kit is more than just an accessory; it's a comfort-enhancing feature that can make your mowing experience more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a place to rest your feet or an easier way to handle the foot platform, this kit has got you covered.
