How to an Install Armrest Kit on a John Deere Z9 Zero-Turn Mower

What You’ll Need:

    - Armrest Kit (Part Number: BUC-10649)
    - 3/8 socket
    - Ratchet wrench

Remove the Existing Armrests

 

Start the process by flipping up the existing armrests to uncover the two bolts that fasten the old pads. Using your 3/8 socket, unscrew these bolts and remove the old armrest pad. as shown below.

 

 

 

Install the New Armrests

 

In your new Armrest Kit (part no. BUC-10649), you'll find the foam-padded armrests and a set of bolts and washers for installation. Place your new pad in alignment with the armrest structure and insert the bolts manually. After ensuring they're correctly threaded, tighten these bolts using your 3/8 socket and ratchet wrench, as shown below. Repeat these steps on each side of the mower to complete install.
