The Bracket

When unpacking this kit, you will notice it comes with quite a few small hardware pieces. Don’t let this overwhelm you. We promise the installation process for this toolbox will be quick and easy

The first step to installing this attachment will be securing the mounting frame to the back of the mower. This is where we will hang the toolbox later on in the process.

Before beginning, notice the two small holes located on each of the mounting brackets on the sides of the Rollover Protection Structure (ROPS), and the two holes located on the sides of the toolbox mounting bracket, shown here.

To mount the bracket, place a washer over the second-to-last hole on the ROPS, as shown, and hold the bracket so that it aligns perfectly with the washer. To be lined up correctly, the longer, middle portion of the mounting bracket should be flat and horizontal, with its flat edge facing you,  and the two side portions pointing upwards. The bottom holes should also be lined up with the washer, as shown. Once everything is in place, thread one of the longer bolts included in the kit through the aligned holes and washer, twisting a nut onto the back of the bolt to secure. Repeat the process on the other side of the mounting bracket as well.

Next, swivel the toolbox bracket up slightly so the remaining holes on both sides line up with the second hole on the ROPS we mentioned earlier. Once aligned, thread one of the smaller bolts through the holes and twist on a nut and washer to the back of the bolt to keep it in place, as shown. Repeat this step on the other side.

Use a 13-mm wrench and socket and 13-mm impact driver or ratchet to further tighten the nuts and secure the hold.

The Toolbox

You will notice there are two holes in the bottom of the toolbox as well as several along the flat surface of the mounting bracket, shown below. Depending on where you want the toolbox to be positioned, align the two holes on the box with the holes on the bracket. You will need to have the box open to do this. Tip: We have positioned ours in the center, but you may want to mount yours to the left or right side to allow for easier access while still seated on the mower.

Next, place a washer onto each of the remaining two bolts and thread the bolt through the holes inside the box and on the bracket following on the back of each with the two remaining nuts. Secure these with the 13-mm wrench and socket and 13-mm impact driver used earlier. Be careful not to tighten the nut too much to prevent cracking the plastic on the toolbox.
