The Yard Tool Kit attachment is the perfect addition to any mower. It allows you to easily carry tools that may be needed while you work, such as rakes, shovels, and garden hoes.

Below we’ll tell you how easy it is to install this handy attachment and where you can pick one up today.

Mower Preparation

On the left side of your mower (right, if preferred) just behind the rear tire and fender, you will find a four-bolt configuration. We will be installing the Yard Tool attachment kit in this location.

Using a 13-mm socket, wrench, and impact driver, loosen and remove the two bolts located on either side of the toe loops, shown here, and the single bolt found along the engine cover, as shown. On the backside of these bolts are clip nuts used to mainly hold the frame pieces together; these need to be removed as well. When replacing the bolts on the mower, you will be using actual nuts in place of these clip nuts.

Installation

The first step in this process is to fit one of the rubber grommets found inside the Yard Tool Kit along the inside of the large hole on both the top and bottom brackets, as shown. The bottom bracket is bent to resemble a shallow U shape, and the top bracket more resembles an L shape.

Once the grommets are in place, you can begin mounting the brackets to the mower frame. Line the bottom bracket up with two holes found near the toe loop and run bolts through each hole. Now hold the top bracket over the single hole found along the engine cover and thread a bolt through that hole as well. Once in place, twist nuts onto the backs of each bolt and tighten down using the socket, wrench, and impact driver used earlier.

And that’s it! You have now successfully installed a Yard Tool Kit onto a John Deere Z735M Zero-Turn Mower! You can now carry around your longer-armed gardening tools with ease.
